Born in 1976 from Riccardo's passion for interior design, the Barthel universe arises in a small ceramics shop on Via dei Fossi, just a few steps away from Palazzo Rucellai.
The production of the famous tiles gives life to the bathroom, lights and handles collections: it’s a congruous and refined growth, corroborated in 1994 from the shop transfer to the heart of the Florentine Oltrarno and, a few years later, from the opening of a second showroom in Forte dei Marmi.
Riccardo's experience has been handed down to Francesco: for more than twenty years he has led the company alongside his father, which has been able to weave the destiny of Florentine craftsmanship into a peculiar taste with all the elegance that has enchanted the international scene.
